Hobbies
I love music of many varieties. At the University of Dallas I was the Student Programming Sound Coordinator in charge of all sound and lighting equipment. I played an integral role planning and coordinator all musical events put on at the University. I got to meet many fun band members and enjoy some great music at the same time! I am a vocalist. I took lessons at UD and have sung in choirs; As a soloist I have sung opera, lyric theater, and some indie/folk (just for fun!). I enjoy listening to German composers, German lyric music and operas. I enjoy reading German novels and novellas. I also love German food and enjoy cooking German dishes as well as other tasty foods. I love sports and have played basketball, baseball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, and white water rafting. I also love to swing dance! I have had a chance to travel to Europe and visit Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Greece. I am looking forward to the opportunity to live in Germany for a year and travel in my free time! My travels have instilled in me a love for the arts. Dallas is a wonderful city because I get the opportunity to go to orchestras, operas, musicals, and plays as well as visit wonderful museums such as the DMA!
